Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel independence day

On May 12 the Partnership2Gether program of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh marked Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel’s independence day, by presenting a multifaceted celebration at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, Squirrel Hill. As performances and activities took place throughout the center, attendees enjoyed refreshments in JCC’s Palm Court, which had been transformed into a shuk (food court) for the occasion.
The mosh pit at the Josh & the Jamtones concert was a fun and friendly area for self-expression at the celebration. Josh & the Jamtones was sponsored by PJ Library and Shalom Pittsburgh.
