Vivian Rosenthal
ROSENTHAL: Vivian Rosenthal, 89, of Squirrel Hill passed away on Monday evening, July 17. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, David and Sarah Rosenthal, brothers, Simon, Philip and Morris, and sister, Frances Stein. During the prime of life, Vivian traveled throughout the world with her many friends. She was an exceptionally skilled Scrabble player and avid reader. Born in Blairsville, Pa., Vivian spent her adult years in Pittsburgh employed by the Federal government’s Bureau of Mines. She was cherished and deeply loved by her nephews and nieces, Martin, Stephen (Abbe), Marcia (Robert), Zalman (Rochelle), Cheri and Larry (Bonnie); great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as a great-great-niece and a great-great-nephew, to whom she was extremely devoted. The family wishes to express its deepest gratitude to their Aunt’s exemplary caregivers, Heidi, Rachel and Sharon. Vivian will truly be missed by the many whose lives she touched. The graveside services took place on Wednesday, July 19 at Workman’s Circle Branch 45 Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Gesher Hachaim Jewish Burial Society.
