KATZ: On Sunday, September 16, 2012, Shirley C.; Beloved wife of the late Dr. Owen M. Katz. Beloved mother of Randall (Randi) Katz of Plano, TX, Caryn (Clark) Loffman of Teaneck, NJ and the late Stephanie Katz. Sister of Bertram (Flora Lee) Katz of Pittsburgh and the late Philip J. (late Shirley) Katz. Grandmother of Shaina and Evan Katz, Sara, Marni, Hannah and Eliana Loffman. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Among other significant contributions to the community, Shirley was the director of the Forward Shady Apartments in Squirrel Hill for over twenty years and she will be missed by all those lives she has touched. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Interment B’nai Israel Cemetery.
