Sally D. (Dickson) Lupovitz

LUPOVITZ: Sally D. (Dickson) Lupovitz, age 84, of Mt. Lebanon, on January 28, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Howard B. Lupovitz. Loving mother of Laura (Michael) Horowitz of Squirrel Hill, Daniel Lupovitz of Los Angeles, Calif., and Andrew Lupovitz of Grapevine, Texas. Grandmother of Elijah (Julie Tvaruzek) Horowitz of Squirrel Hill and Ariel (Garth Griffin) Horowitz of Somerville, Mass. Sally was a political activist and a fixture in the Democratic Party from the local to the state level. Sally and her late husband helped start the Pittsburgh campaign for the 39th president of the United States, Jimmy Carter. Sally loved traveling, scuba diving and was an avid Mah Jongg player. She and her late husband were Mt. Lebanon business owners, specializing in women’s outerwear and furs for over 35 years. Arrangement by William SLATER II Funeral Services, 412-563-2800. Funeral service Friday 10:30 AM at Temple Emanuel, 1250 Bower Hill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15243. Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
