HERSH: On Monday, January 10, 2011, in Delray Beach, FL, Ruth C.; Age 90, Beloved wife of the late Henry Hersh. Mother of Edward (Mary) Hersh and Robert (Christine) Hersh. Eldest daughter of the late Joseph and Fanny Cohen. Sister of Dolly Landay of Monroeville and Milton (Helen) Cohen of Hilton Head, SC. Grandmother of Joanna, Michael, Elizabeth, Nathan and Jaclyn Hersh. Born in Pittsburgh on June 28, 1920, Ruth Graduated from Schenley High School in Oakland and lived for many years in Squirrel Hill raising her two sons. In 1965 Ruth and Henry moved to Durham, NC and created the Aluminum Company of North Carolina, later retiring to Florida. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Interment Beth Abraham Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Birthright Israel Foundation, www.birthrightisrael.org or a Jewish Charity of the donor’s choice.
