SIEGEL: On Monday, February 28, 2011, Robert R.; Son of the late Morris and Ida Siegel. Cousin of Harvey (Susan) Weiss of Bethesda, MD. Also survived by his good friends, Joseph and Isabella Angelelli, George Pettrone and his compassionate doctor, Eric Rodriguez. Bob was a 1938 graduate of Penn State. He served in the Army Air Force and the Air Force during WW II. He flew 69 combat missions in B-24’s in the 308th heavy bombardment group flying “The Hump” in China-Burma-India. He survived to make “corned beef runs” from Germany to Paris and eventually retired from the Air Force to enjoy a career as an investment advisor. In retirement, he gravitated from tennis to golf to computers. Private Interment was held at Beth Abraham Cemetery. Memorial Service at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Ave., Shadyside on Friday April 1 at 1 PM to celebrate his full and interesting life.
