Renee Agnew
Renee Agnew age 85 of White Oak died on Thursday Dec. 1, 2011, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital. She was born on August 28, 1926 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Sadye Spiegel Lichtenstein. She was the wife of the late Robert Agnew, the former Dean of the University of Pittsburgh School of Business. She is survived by her brother Stanley (Helen) Lichtenstein of White Oak; also aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. After Renee graduated from the University of Michigan she became the Secretary for The American Embassy in Prague. She then returned to the United States where she became the Secretary to The Israeli Ambassador Abba Eban in Washington, D.C. Finally, she became a foreign student advisor at the University of Pittsburgh where she also taught in University’s School of Business master’s degree program. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011 in New Gemilas Chesed Cemetery, White Oak. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Jennifer S. Jordan Funeral Home, Inc., White Oak.
