Rabbi bikes to promote Judaism
A Pittsburgh rabbi will take part in the Ride4Reform 2010 — a five-day bike ride throughout Israel from March 14 to 18 to promote Reform Judaism in the Holy Land.
Rabbi Ezra Ende of Temple Sinai will join cyclists from around North America and Israel to peddle from the Israel-Lebanon border to the Golan Heights, Galilee, Jezreel Valley, Ramat Menashe and the Mediterranean Sea.
Ende will use his ride to raise funds to promote “Progressive Judaism” in Israel.
He is the second Pittsburgh rabbi in as many years to take part in the Ride4Reform. Last year, Rabbi Sharyn Henry of Rodef Shalom Congregation joined the ride.
