SHAPIRO: On Tuesday, September 7, 2010, Phyllis Scott Shapiro, beloved wife of the late Sidney Shapiro; cherished mother of Dr. Kenneth (Lynn) Zuckerman of Tampa, Fl and Murray (Dianne) Shapiro of Butler, PA; sister of the late Sylvia (Bernard) Peris, Frank (Betty) Scott and Walter (Jean) Scott; sister-in-law of Ussie (the late Manuel) Halpern, Shanie (the late Harold) Star, and Lucille and Louis Shapiro; adored grand “Nan” of Jodi and Brian Weiner, Josh Zuckerman, Nate Shapiro (fiancé Megan Lipsitz) and Stephanie Elaine Shapiro; special aunt to Helaine Miller and Stacy Scott; also survived by many other beloved nieces and nephews. Graveside services and interment were held at Beth Shalom Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Tree of Life/Or L’Simcha Congregation 5898 Wilkins Ave. Pittsburgh. PA 15217.
