Pakistan relief mailbox opened

The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and The Jewish Federations of North America are responding to a call from the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) to assist in collecting funds to provide disaster relief in Pakistan.
JDC is collecting funds to aid victims of the devastating floods in Pakistan. One hundred percent of funds collected will be directed to relief efforts.
JDC provides life-saving food, clothing, medicine, and other necessities in more than 70 countries around the globe, has implemented relief efforts in places such as Haiti, countries in South Asia in the wake of Indian Ocean Tsunami and previously in Pakistan, in the wake of the disastrous 2005 and 2008 earthquakes.
To donate online, go to JewishFederationPittsburgh.org. Checks may be sent to the Federation at 234 McKee Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. Make checks payable to Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and note “Pakistan Flood Relief” on the checks.
