Norman Krell
KRELL: Norman Krell; Age 90, of Pittsburgh passed away on Tuesday December 30, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Sarah Krell. Loving brother of the late Arnold Krell (Florie), Uncle of Jimmy (Sheri) and Marc (Julie) Krell and the late Ellen Krell. Great-uncle to Asher, Ethan, Mack, Alexander and Jonah. Son of the late Morris and Helen Krell. Norman’s life was defined by devotion to family, Pittsburgh sports, and the Jewish community. Besides being a dedicated son, brother and uncle, he worked as a Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers usher at both Forbes Field and Three Rivers Stadium for over 50 years. Norman’s greatest passion was serving as a leader in the Jewish community, as a board member of Adath Israel Congregation and later as sexton for Beth Hamedrash Hagadol-Beth Jacob Congregation. Graveside services and interment were held at Beth Shalom Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Jewish Association on Aging, 200 JHF Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.
