Never too young to mark MLK Day with demonstrations
The prekindergarten class at Congregation Beth Shalom marked the birthday of Martin Luther KIng Jr. in a way that would have made the iconic civil rights leader proud. They marched through the hallways of the synagogue Monday, brandishing posters, and calling for equal rights. People who work in the building took time out from their jobs to watch the demonstration. It’s not the first time pre-K pupils have marked King Day this way, school officials said.
