Minnie W. Caplan

CAPLAN: On Saturday, April 7, 2012, Minnie W.; Beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Caplan. Beloved mother of Debra (Caplan) and Dr. David J. Levenson. Sister of the late Cantor Herman Weisberg, Esther Cohen and Anne Weiner. Sister-in-law of Dr. Paul S. (late Gertrude F.) Caplan. Adored grandmother of Jessica and Joshua Levenson. Also survived by loving nieces & nephews. Mrs. Caplan graduated from Schenley High School and attended Carnegie Institute of Technology. She was on the administrative staff of Montefiore Hospital in her early professional life and was a devoted volunteer and past board member of the Ladies Hospital Aid Society. She was a talented pianist and singer and enjoyed candy making and calligraphy. Keenly devoted to her family, she was married to Joseph S. Caplan for 58 years. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Interment Homewood Cemetery.
