Zohar, the new Young Women’s group at Hadassah Greater Pittsburgh, will get together to view current trends in high fashion jewelry with a John Hardy Trunk Show on Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Orr’s Jewelers, 5857 Forbes Ave. in Squirrel Hill.

World War II and Korean War Veterans are invited to take a free bus trip to the National Memorials on Thursday, Oct. 9. Buses will leave at 6 a.m. and return at approximately 9 p.m. Departure points include Ross Park, Monroeville, Green Tree and Beaver.
Boxed lunches, dinners and beverages will be provided. Wheelchairs will be available if requested, and a nurse and helpers will be on board. Veterans can contact Lydian Fisher at 724-709-3614 to register, up to Oct. 6.
Chabad of Pittsburgh will hold a Family Fall Fest on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Family Retreat Center in Cranberry, 1100 Freeport Road.
The outdoor fun and learning day for families will include lectures and workshops for adults, full-day children’s program, lunch and a barbecue dinner and sports and fitness activities.
There is a $15 charge per person; children under 2 are free. An early bird special for reservations made by Oct. 12 will be $12 a person. Reservations are due by Oct. 19.
