Director of the Squirrel Hill Food Pantry received the Ira and Nanette Gordon Professional Achievement Award and Droz Marketing dominated Western PA Marketer of the Year Awards.

Matthew Bolton director of the Squirrel Hill Food Pantry and SOS Pittsburgh, received the Ira and Nanette Gordon Professional Achievement Award on Dec. 11. The annual award recognizes an outstanding community professional who is in the early career stage.

The Ira and Nanette Gordon Professional Achievement Award is endowed through the Jewish Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. Peter Gordon, son of the award founders, presented the award to Bolton.

Droz Marketing dominated the Western Pennsylvania Marketer of the Year awards, sponsored by the American Marketing Association, bringing its total to 28. Droz continues to hold the nation’s record for Marketer of the Year winners, including Grand Marketer of the Year.

CEO Dan Droz attributes the accomplishment to “the willingness of our clients to be open to new ideas.” This year’s winning clients were Johnston Lykos, a law firm specializing in employment law, and Mine Vision Systems, a Pittsburgh-based startup that developed technology to map underground mines and construction sites.
