Louis Tolchin

Louis Tolchin age 92 of Pittsburgh and formerly of McKeesport and White Oak died on Tuesday September 13, 2011 in UPMC Shadyside. He was born on May 13, 1919 in Pittsburgh and was the son of the late Isadore and Molly Supkoff Tolchin. He was preceded in death by his wife the late Minnie Joshowitz Tolchin. He is survived by his children; Linda (Marvin) Diamond of Baltimore, MD and Edward (Lori) Tolchin of Silver Spring, MD, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Mr. Tolchin was a retired Weigh Master for Josh Steel in Braddock, he was a veteran of The United States Army during WWII where he was a Staff Sergeant, a member of Gemilas Chesed Congregation, Past President of the White Oak Lyons Club, and a member of F & AM Masonic Lodge in Pgh. Graveside services were held on Tuesday at 3:00 PM at New Gemilas Chesed Cemetery., in White Oak. .:.The family has requested memorial contributions to Gemilas Chesed Congregation 1400 Summit St. White Oak, PA 15131.
