Letters to the editor December 12
Free speech
War,
intermarriage,
apathy,
hate;
today’s plagues.
These words were posted anonymously as part of an art exhibit on a wall of the Jewish Community Center, home to Jews of every stripe. Imagine being a committed Jew who is part of an
interfaith Jewish family reading this on a wall of the JCC. Imagine being a teenager, the child of an interfaith marriage, coming from Community Day for an after-school activity.
Because I am a staunch supporter of every American’s First Amendment rights, and since the exhibit has left the JCC, I submit my response to The
Jewish Chronicle, proudly attaching my name.
War,
intolerance,
apathy,
hatred:
today’s plagues.

(Editor’s note: The letter is referencing part of the Six Word art exhibit that was at the Robinson Wing of the JCC.)
