ROBINS: July 31,1918-April 17, 2014, Leo J. Robins of Squirrel Hill died Thursday morning at UPMC/Heritage Place, in Squirrel Hill, at the age of 95. He was a retired certified public accountant, and worked for Grodin, Chotiner & Balmuth for many years. He was a CPA for over fifty years. He is survived by his sister, Esther Port, of Reseda, California, three nieces — Judith Liebman, of Woodland Hills, California, Aviva Radbord, of Pittsburgh, and Olivia Ucuzoglu, of Northridge, California, and a nephew — Jeffrey Radbord, of Pittsburgh. His younger sister, Ruth Robins Radbord, preceded him in death. Leo Robins was a bronze star recipient in World War II, serving in the United States Army, in North Africa, Italy, and England. He was a graduate of Yeshiva University and received his master’s degree from the University of pittsburgh. Graveside services were held at Beth Shalom Cemetery on Friday, April 18. Arrangements were by the Chevra Kadisha Jewish Burial Society of Pittsburgh. We thank his caregivers, for their assistance, in the last years of his life.
