Lee N. Perelstine

PERELSTINE: Lee N. Perelstine, age 89, on Sunday, July 3, 2016. Beloved husband of Sara (Roth) Perelstine.  Loving father of Steven (Francine) Perelstine, Robert (Karla) Perelstine, and the late Jeffrey Perelstine.  Proud grandfather to Dana and David Perelstine, Marissa and Erin Perelstine, Breanne, Linsie, Elise and Brett Perelstine.  Brother of Syma Levine, Meryl (Paul) Torin, and the late Gail Schreiber, and Dorothy Goldstein.  Lee played varsity football as well as the tuba in the marching band prior to graduating from Taylor Allderdice High School in 1945.  He served in the U.S. Navy.  A man of many talents, Lee was a postal carrier, bar/restaurant owner, and electronics repairman.  He was past president of B’nai Emunah Synagogue.  After retirement, Lee kept busy through his volunteer efforts with many organizations.  In his later years, he devoted his life as the primary caregiver for his wife of 62 years. Graveside services and interment were held at Chofetz Chaim Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
