Katherine S. Buckstein

BUCKSTEIN: Katherine S. Of Monroeville, PA passed away suddenly on April 23, 2011. Beloved wife of Neal J. Buckstein for 54 years. Loving mother of Frank B. Buckstein of Plum Boro and Moira Buckstein Ross of Waterford, CT. Grandmother of Gabrielle and Michael Buckstein, Solomon (Solly) and Nathaniel Ross. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Katherine was born in Pittsburgh and graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School in Squirrel Hill. She served in the Navy as a WAVE. She was an active member of Temple David and taught at the religious school for many years. She was also involved in Jewish War Veterans and Hadassah, and volunteered at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville for 25 years. Katherine will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family. Services were held at Temple David. Interment Temple Sinai Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Katherine’s memory to Temple David, 4415 Northern Pike, Monroeville, PA 15146.
