KAPLAN: Joan Meyerhoff Kaplan, on Friday, July 21, 2017, in Los Angeles. Beloved wife of the late Irving M. J. Kaplan and her late first husband, E. Robert Titelman, as well as sister of the late Jane Meyerhoff de Rochemont. Beloved mother of William A. Kaplan Titelman (Laura Osterweis), Thomas R. Titelman Kaplan (Deborah Weinstein) and Fred M. Titelman Kaplan (Victoria Warner). Treasured grandmother of: Ethan (Kirsten Keller), Emily and Greta Titelman; Naomi, Nina, Brian (Kim Kuhn) and Max Kaplan; and Lisa Kaplan (Monte) Rabner. Beloved great-grandmother of Quincy and Maya Kaplan and Miles Titelman. Joan was a longtime member of the Women’s Committee of the Carnegie Museum, previously chaired the board of The Home for Crippled Children (now The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh and the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute), and previously served as president of the Sisterhood of Rodef Shalom Congregation. She was a member of the Concordia Club, the Pittsburgh Athletic Association and the Duquesne Club. Services were held at Rodef Shalom Congregation. Interment Private.
