James L.L. Sunstein
SUNSTEIN: James L.L. Sunstein age 94 of White Oak died on Tuesday April 28, 2015, at UPMC East. He was born on January 7, 1921, in McKeesport and was the son of the late Dr. Noah L. and Rosalee Bachman Sunstein. He is survived by his wife Edith Olender Sunstein, son David I. L. Sunstein and daughter Roberta Sue Sunstein and nieces and nephews. Mr Sunstein was preceded in death by his sister Louise Sobel and brother Sylvan Sunstein. He was a graduate of Yale University and he served as a lieutenant in the Army Air Corp. during World War II. Mr. Sunstein was a member of Gemilas Chesed Congregation and Temple B’nai Israel, where his father was a founding member and past president, Jewish War Veterans and a Masonic Lodge in Pittsburgh. He was retired owner of G.I. Cab Co., Tube City Taxi Cab and Airport Limousine Service serving the Mon Valley area. Services were held on Wednesday in the chapel of the Jennifer S. Jordan Funeral Home, Inc., White Oak with Rabbi Mayer Goldwasser officiating. Interment followed in West View of Rodef Shalom Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
