COHEN: On Thursday, October 29, 2009, Goldie Cohen, 93, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Roanoke and Norfolk, Va.; beloved wife of the late Dr. Meyer Cohen; beloved mother of Anne Marilyn Friedman of Boca Raton, Fl., Linda Gale Krause of Pittsburgh, Dr. Jerome Cohen of Richmond, and Marc Stephen Cohen, also of Pittsburgh; beloved daughter of the late Phillip Butler and the late Mollie Zedd Weinstein; beloved step-daughter of David Weinstein; sister of the late Ada Cadd, Mary Samuels, and Buddy Weinstein; grandmother of Robin Friedman, Suzy (Lon) Goldman, Michelle Krause, Michael (Ellen) Krause-Grosman, and the late David Scott Friedman; great-grandmother of Brendon Bebout, Haley and Madeleine Goldman, Gabriel and Rachel Krause-Grosman; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services and interment were held in Virginia. Contributions may be made to the Beth Shalom Congregation, Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund, 5915 Beacon St., Pittsburgh, PA 15217.
