GOLD: Gladys G. Gold, 94, of White Oak and North Huntingdon, passed Saturday, January 17, 2015.  Born in Philadelphia, Pa., May 23, 1920, daughter of the late Dr. Samuel and Frieda Davis Goldberg.  Wife of the late Max Gold, mother of the late Dr. Stevan Gold, she is survived by her son, Dr. James C. Gold and his wife Penny of Norwich, Vt.; two grandchildren, Justin Gold and his wife Nancee of Boulder, Colo., and Ashley Gold Messina of San Francisco, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Nora and Morrison Gold; and by her daughter-in-law, Denise Gold of West Palm Beach, Fla.  Mrs. Gold was a retired McKeesport Area School District teacher, a member of Temple B’nai Israel and its Sisterhood, a Silver Life Master of the American Contract Bridge League, a life member of the A.C.B.L., a graduate of Winchester Thurston and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.  Mrs. Gold served in the Women’s Army Auxiliary during World War II.  A graveside service was held Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the Temple B’nai Israel Cemetery with Rabbi Paul Tuchman officiating. Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA  15132 is in charge of arrangements.  The family suggests contributions to the Temple B’nai Israel Cemetery Fund, 2025 Cypress Drive, White Oak, PA  15131.
