Gilbert “Gil" Peisakoff

PEISAKOFF: On Thursday, September 18, 2014, Gilbert “Gil” Peisakoff; Beloved husband of Phyllis. Loving father of Bonnie (Saul) Markowitz and Alan (Pam) Peisakoff all of Pittsburgh. Brother of Melvin Peisakoff of CA and the late Audrey Myers. Brother-in-law of Saul and Jean Chosky. Beloved grandfather of Brandon Markowitz and Mara Peisakoff. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Gil is best known as an entrepreneur and founder of Gil’s Inc., a chain of discount health and beauty aid stores.  He was a pioneer and the creator of the first stores of this business concept in the region. Graveside Services and interment were held at Homewood Cemetery, Star of David Section. Contributions may be made to Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, P.O.
