Gertrude Spiro

SPIRO: On Wednesday, March 17, 2010, Gertrude Spiro, 96; wife of the late Meyer Spiro; mother of Joel Spiro of Northampton, MA, Shandel Gilbert, Beverly Spiro, both of Pittsburgh and Vicki Smith of North Branford, CT; also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Ave., Shadyside. Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Gertrude and Meyer Spiro Endowment Fund of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, 5738 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217 or the Charles Morris Nursing Center, 200 JHF Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.
