Florie Brettler Goldhammer

Florie Brettler Goldhammer, Esquire, age 77, of Pittsburgh (Squirrel Hill), PA on Sunday, February 27, 2011. Wife of the late Robert Goldhammer, PhD Harvard University and Professor at the University of Pittsburgh; mother of Anne Middleton Moore and husband Keith, and Elizabeth Percy Croke and husband Paul; grandmother of Emily and Jacob Kuzma; brother of Dan Brettler and wife Carolyn, and daughter of the late Hilda and Sol Brettler. Florie grew up in Union County, NJ, and met Robert when both were undergraduate students of the University of Chicago. Florie received her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh and worked in a private practice and for the local and state courts for the duration of her legal career, in addition to serving as the first female Pennsylvania Bar Examiner. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Interment Private.
