Youth workers from Karmiel/Misgav, Israel, and from Pittsburgh met at Repair the World as part of a weeklong workshop to develop ideas for new opportunities for teen partnership programs between the two communities.
The Face2Face workshop, convened by the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh Partnership2Gether and the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh-The Second Floor, was an act of building bridges between Pittsburgh and Karmiel/Misgav.
Experts guided the group to explore Jewish teen engagement, Jewish life on college campuses, the changing nature of American Jewish/Israeli relationships, gender/sexual identity, social justice and social media.
