description: Congregation Emanu-El Israel’s Festival of the Jewish Arts, Seton Hill University’s National Catholic Center for Holocaust Education and the Westmoreland Diversity Coalition jointly presents Dr. Tim Crain, Director of Seton Hill’s National Catholic Center for Holocaust Education and a panel of community leaders to explore how we can deal with the hate groups that are amongst us.
The events in Charlottesville displayed the extraordinary resurgence of ignorance and bigotry that many American hoped was relegated to history. White supremacists proudly displayed the Nazi and Confederate battle flags in Charlottesville, symbols of a disgraceful past. Hate crimes have escalated drastically across our nation and in our community and the situation appears to be getting worse. We will explore the issue of hate in America, and what steps we can take to counter what has rapidly become a national embarrassment.
