An Evening with Rabbi Joseph Telushkin
May 10, 2018 , 7:30 pm

title: An Evening with Rabbi Joseph Telushkin
description: The Rabbi William Sajowitz Endowment Fund of Temple Emanuel and South Hills Jewish Pittsburgh are excited to bring Rabbi Joseph Telushkin to Pittsburgh on Thursday, May 10. Rabbi Telushkin will speak on “The Twenty-First Century: A Moral Vision, One Day at a Time,” at 7:30 PM at the Upper St. Clair High School Theater. This event is being held in honor of Rabbi Mark Mahler’s upcoming retirement after 38 years of service to Temple Emanuel.
Joseph Telushkin, hailed by Jewish Week as “America’s rabbi,” is a Renaissance figure, whose reputation extends well beyond the Jewish community. His novel, An Eye for an Eye, became the basis for four episodes of The Practice. The renowned historian Paul Johnson labeled Telushkin’s A Code of Jewish Ethics – winner of the 2007 National Jewish Book Award as the Book of the Year – as “the most comprehensive introduction to Jewish ethics to appear for many years.”
There will be a Meet & Greet at 6:30 PM (includes Reserved Seating) – tickets are $36 . General Admission tickets are $5. Rabbi Telushkin will also be signing books after the presentation.
The event will be held at the Upper St. Clair High School Theater. Tickets are available at www.templeemanuelpgh.org/event/Telushkin.
