Eugene Light

LIGHT: On Wednesday, February 25, 2015, Eugene Light; Beloved husband of Racille Light. Beloved father of Sharon (Dan) Greenfield and Barry Light. Son of the late Herman and Sima Lebovic. Grandfather of Dayna and Michael (fiancee Samantha) Greenfield. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Eugene was a survivor of the Holocaust, during which his beloved parents, and many of his brothers and sisters perished. He immigrated to the United States after the war with his brothers, Alex and Ernest. He was a longtime fixture, with his brothers, of uptown Fifth Avenue at Light Brothers, a wholesale men’s clothing store. Eugene was a longtime member of Poale Zedeck and was a kind, loving, smart man who will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Interment Poale Zedeck Memorial Park Cemetery.
