Eleanor Horvitz Granowitz

GRANOWITZ: Eleanor Horvitz Granowitz of Squirrel Hill passed away on December 19, 2016, at the age of 84. Ele is survived by her loving husband Sam, children, Howard (Louise), Beth (Jim) Ressler and Brian. Beloved grandchildren, Tom and Lily Granowitz and Lindsey and Jake Ressler, and dearly loved sister Gloria (Alvin) Greenfield. Ele cherished her family and friends above all else. She was a kind, generous giving soul who always put the needs and wants of others before those of her own. She was a graduate of Penn State University and went on to touch and enrich the lives of many as an elementary school teacher, community volunteer and loyal friend. She was also an avid golfer and talented painter. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery.
