Edith Adele Yahr, beloved mother and accomplished thespian, Edith Adele (Petey) Yahr of Phoenix, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Friday, June 15. A true original, Edith sang opera, light opera, had a supper club act and featured roles in “Bye Bye Birdie” starring Orson Bean and “How to Succeed In Business”, among others. Legally blind since the age of 3, Edith overcame many obstacles to achieve her goals in every aspect of her life. Ms. Yahr is survived by her daughter, Jan Judith Binder and husband Steve, son, Neil Yahr Siegel and wife Debra, grand-daughters Ann and Sarah Siegel, grandson Matt Dutro and wife Anne, and great-grandchildren James, Genevieve and Eloise Dutro.
