Dr. Alan L. Itskowitz
ITSKOWITZ: Dr. Alan L. Itskowitz died Tuesday, October 10, 2017. He is the beloved husband of Leslie Caplan Itskowitz and the father of Amy (Marty) Cohn, Marc (Rina) Itskowitz, and Robert (Shelly) Itskowitz. He is the dearly loved Zaide of Shaina and Aron Rafkin, Adina, Zahava, Devora, and Sarah Cohn, Yael, Shira, Aviva, Talia, and Zach Itskowitz, and Nate, Yonah, Ashi, and Kivi Itskowitz. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Kovy and Leeba Rafkin. A native of McKeesport, Dr. Itskowitz lived in Pittsburgh all of his adult life where he practiced medicine for 50 years. He loved his work, his family, and his Jewish faith. His remarkable humility, kindness, and thoughtfulness, in addition to his medical prowess, are an inspiration to others. Funeral services will be graveside at Beth Shalom Cemetery on Wednesday October 11, 2017, at 12:30pm. Arrangements are entrusted to the Gesher HaChaim Jewish Burial Society.
