Dorothy Trachtenberg

TRACHTENBERG: On Wednesday, March 2, 2011, Dorothy; Beloved wife of the late Allan I. Trachtenberg. Beloved mother of David and Kim Trachtenberg and Francey Gelfand. Sister of David Shorr and the late Joe Shorr. Grandmother of Elliot (Fiance Jenn Zaffuto) Gelfand, Joshua Gelfand, Alex Gelfand and Dana Trachtenberg (Fiance Nico Apfelbaum). Also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Dorothy had an illustrious career at the University of Pittsburgh. She was affectionately known as “Gramma Dorothy” by all who knew her. She spent her last nine months loving life at Riverview Towers. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Interment Adath Israel Cemetery.
