Dorothy Landay
LANDAY: Dorothy Landay, 93, of Washington, died Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Asbury Heights, Mt. Lebanon. She was born March 15, 1922, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late William and Mary Davis Greenberg. Dorothy was a graduate of Brownsville High School. She was an owner of Taper’s Jewelry Store, Washington. She was a member of the Beth Israel Congregation, Washington, and was a member of Hadassah, Sisterhood and the Order of the Eastern Star. On December 28, 1947, in Brownsville, she married Wilbur Landay, who died June 15, 1998. Surviving are two sons, David (Caron) Landay of Moon Township, and Alan (Debra) Landay of River Forest, IL; a brother, Dr. Jack (Helaine) Greenberg of Philadelphia; and four grandchildren, Benjamin, Kara, Nathan and Paige Landay. Deceased are a brother, Harold “Hank” Greenberg, and a sister, Norma Feinberg. A graveside service was held Monday, November 2, 2015, at 1 PM in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Oak Spring Road, Washington, with Rabbi David Novitsky officiating.
