The Pittsburgh Jewish community will gather on Tuesday, July 15 at 7 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center in Squirrel Hill for a briefing on Operation Protective Edge and the current situation in Israel and Gaza.
The program will include a Middle East analyst from Washington, D.C., to address the political-security situation in Israel. Rabbi Jamie Gibson, who returned from Israel July 10, will give a local update from his experience on the ground. The Consul General in Philadelphia will also send us a video message from the government of Israel.
Also, community leadership (in Israel) will address the audience on the Federation’s ongoing efforts to help alleviate the suffering of Israel’s citizens in the south and center of the country.
