Chronicle names Eric Lidji its new associate editor
Eric Lidji, a journalist with ties to the Pittsburgh area, is the new associate editor of The Jewish Chroncle. He succeeds Mike Zoller, who is starting graduate school at Northwestern University.
A 2004 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, during which time he worked at the Pitt News and as The Chronicle’s campus correspondent, Lidji, 26, went on to become a staff writer at the Waxahachie Daily Light, in Waxahachie, Texas, and a business writer at The Fairbanks News-Miner in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Most recently, he wrote for Petroleum News, a business weekly covering the Alaska oil industry. In addition, he has written for The New York Times Online, Pittsburgh Magazine and Whirl Magazine.
Lidji is a three-time winner of the Keystone Press Award, which recognizes journalistic excellence in the Pennsylvania media. He also won writing awards from the Texas Press Association and the North and East Texas Press Association.
Lidji is a 1999 graduate of Yeshiva High School in Squirrel Hill.
