Chronicle hires new associate editor
Justin H. Jacobs is the new associate editor of The Jewish Chronicle. Chosen from a field of exceptional candidates, Jacobs will start his new position Monday, Jan. 25.
A Lancaster native, Jacobs is a 2009 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where he majored in English writing and religious studies. While there, Jacobs served as student president of the Hillel Jewish University Center and as arts and entertainment editor of The Pitt News.
Jacobs’ professional experience is extensive, having written for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Indianapolis Star, Pittsburgh City Paper and Paste Magazine.
He won the Koeberlein Award for Excellence in Journalism, from The Pitt News; a Pennsylvania Newspaper Associations Keystone Press Award, both in 2009; and a Columbia Scholastic Press Associations Gold Circle Award in 2008.
An avid blogger, Jacobs also writes for the Jewish online media, including Heeb Magazine.
