BEHREND: On Saturday, March 28, 2009, Celeste S. Behrend, 81, of Oakland; beloved wife of William Behrend; loving mother of Samuel (Mary Ann), Bernhard (Stefanie) and Charles (Nancy); doting grandmother of Daniel, Georgia, Margot (Sean) Valles, Vanessa, Kacy and Andrew; daughter of the late Floryne and Herschel Vane Silberstein; sister-in-law of Dean and Sandra Behrend; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Ave., Shadyside. Interment West View Cemetery of Rodef Shalom Congregation. Contributions may be made to Hebrew Free Loan Assoc., 4315 Murray Ave., Pgh., PA 15217.
