The Jewish Association on Aging celebrated their 13th Annual Eight over 80 event Thursday, June 6, at Congregation Beth Shalom.

The 340 guests gathered to honor the accomplishments of the honorees: Edith Adler, Ed Berman, Rose Berman, Milt Fine, Dini Katz, Jack Meyers, Fritz Ottenheimer and Dr. Jerry Wolfson. 

Guests were entertained by the musical stylings of the Doug Levine Orchestra in an old-time radio show format, with singing by the JAA Andrew’s Sisters and swing dancing by Yes, You Can Dance.

The event raised $130,000 for the JAA’s Benevolent Care Fund, which helps to offset the nearly $3 million in charity and uncompensated care that is provided on an annual basis to seniors within the community.
