Betty Rogow Best

BEST: Betty Rogow Best, 93, originally from Wilkinsburg & Pittsburgh, PA died after a short illness on Thursday January 17, 2013 at her home, 718 N Roxbury in Beverly Hills, CA. Betty was a long time world traveler and a dedicated volunteer, buyer and board member of the Helping Hands Gift Shop at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. She served as treasurer and footwear buyer for many years and was honored with the “Golden Hand Award” as volunteer of the year after many years of devoted service. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sharon Rogow, step-sons, Nathan and Richard Rogow, Grandsons Brad, Maury and Max Rogow. Also survived by cousins Douglas Fine, Peter Cowen and Nancy Cowen Paris all of Los Angeles, CA and many other cousins. A private service and interment were held at Hillside  Memorial in Los Angeles. Donations may be made to The Helping Hands Of Los Angeles, Inc., Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA 90048, Alzheimer’s Assn., or the organization of your choice. She is sadly missed by her family and friends.
