MILLER: Bertram; With his family by his side on a beautiful Sunday afternoon March 18, 2012; Bertram “Bertie” Miller passed away peacefully in his Mt. Lebanon home. Bertie succumbed to Parkinson’s after a decade long battle. Bertie was born on November 5, 1922 and was the youngest of two brothers. While attending Carnegie Tech College he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942 during World War II. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Bertie was the founder/owner of A & B Photo in 1946. After nearly 40 years of success and growth he sold A & B to Eastman Kodak and retired shortly after in 1986. Bertie is survived by his beloved wife Ruth Lenchner Miller, daughter Sari J. Miller (Michael L. Werner), son Louis Miller (Sheila Fineberg), and grandson Zachary Miller. Brother of the late Harry W. Miller. He is survived by sister-in-law Selma Lenchner along with family from Canada and relatives and loved ones throughout the United States. Bertie was the son of the late Charlie and Sadie Miller. Special thanks to caregivers Carol Donahue, Donna Maroni, Peggy Cooper and Jill Parr of The Good Samaritan Hospice.
