Bernard Grossman

GROSSMAN: On Thursday, January 14, 2016, Bernard Grossman. Beloved husband of Shirley Lotz Grossman. Beloved father of Michele/Shelley (Dan) Babuscio and Joan (Mark) Neitznick. Grandfather of Bari Medgaus, Melanie Medgaus, Sarah Neitznick, Ryan (Mary Fuentes) Neitznick, Danielle Morgan and Justin (Jocelyn) Babuscio. Great-grandfather of Jayda Medgaus and Rhys Morgan. “Bob” was born September 23, 1921, in Brooklyn, New York and was married to Shirley for 72 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Ever the center of attention, Bob’s brilliant blue eyes, quick wit and larger than life presence served him well in his long career as a chemical sales representative. Bob was not only a lover of sport but was also a great athlete whose talents ran the gamut from baseball to ping-pong. Despite being born and bred a true New Yorker, Bob came to love his adopted city of Pittsburgh embracing its pugilistic history and his favorite sports team, the Steelers. Gregarious aptly describes a man who was loved by all who knew him, especially his family, a true mensch who will surely be missed. Graveside services and interment were held at Betty Rosenberg/Parkway Jewish Center Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., family owned and operated. schugar.com.
