Belle Binstock Fogel

FOGEL: On Tuesday, October 7, 2014, Belle Binstock Fogel, 90, passed away in Jerusalem, Israel. Beloved wife of the late Meyer Fogel, cherished mother of Marc Fogel and his wife Deborah of Newton, Massachusetts, and Carol Gleiser and her husband Ian of Jerusalem. Adored sister of Dorene Cohen and her husband Eugene and the late Louis Ben Israel Binstock and his wife Rina. Daughter of the late Ruth and Israel Binstock. Loving grandmother of Gail and Daniel Fogel; Bezalel, Shmuel, and Elchanan Gleiser, and Shoshana Levavi. Also survived by ten great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The burial took place in the Eretz Hachaim Cemetery, Beit Shemesh. Belle was an active member of the Pittsburgh Jewish community for over 60 years and held leadership positions in the Hillel Academy Women’s Club, the Poale Zedek Sisterhood, and the Women’s Branch of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America in Western Pennsylvania. Her legacy of love for family, Yiddishkeit, and Israel will live on among all who knew her. Contributions in her memory may be made to Hillel Academy or Congregation Poale Zedek.
