Albert J. (Joe) Dorsey

DORSEY: On Saturday, July 13, 2013, Albert J. (Joe) Dorsey; Beloved husband of Shirley Greenberg Dorsey. Adoring father of Hannah Brina Dorsey. Brother of the late Miriam Kramer, Ruth Tarrant and Irwin Dorsey. Mr. Dorsey was a veteran of WW II serving four years in the Army. He had a hardware store in Squirrel Hill for many years and later became the owner of Hegner Hardware Company in Sewickley. He served as president of Shaare Torah Congregation for four years and under his presidency many new innovations were introduced. He supported many Jewish organizations in particular Hillel Academy where his wife Shirley and daughter Hannah are members of the faculty and the Shaare Torah Congregation where his wife Shirley has been president of the Sisterhood for many years. He was a sincere, kind and caring person whose family meant everything to him. He was a very special husband and father. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Interment Shaare Torah Cemetery.
