Abe Fleishman

FLEISHMAN: On Thursday, May 30, 2013, Abe Fleishman: after a valiant battle against Parkinson’s disease. Beloved husband of 61 years to Selma, loving father to Mindy and Gary (Diane) and proud grandfather of KateLyn Allison (Brandon). Loving uncle and grand uncle to several nieces and nephews. Abe was the beloved brother of the late Ruth Ruben and Leona Gross. In addition to his responsibilities as Mayor of Monitor Street and the organizer of weekly tennis games he was a dedicated volunteer for the Squirrel Hill coalition, SCORE, Meals on Wheels, Project Bundle Up, the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and to anyone in need of help. Abe was a proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a US Navy veteran. Services were held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. Interment Homewood Cemetery.
